Anger Management Group for Adults

“Anger management is the process of learning to recognize signs that you're becoming angry, and taking action to calm down and deal with the situation in a productive way.” (source: Mayo Clinic)
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Lifeline’s Adult Anger Management group is a 12-week court approved class where clients examine how anger has affected their lives. Clients learn effective skills for how to appropriately and skillfully respond to stressful situations.
PROGRAM SERVICES:
Adult Anger Management Groups meet once a week in a safe, clinical, non-judgmental and confidential environment. All courses are tailored to the needs of the client. All leaders of the courses are run by counselors who are have their Masters, domestic violence certified, and experienced court approved facilitators. Group topics include:
- Anger control and attitudes
- Cognitive distortions
- Constructive communication
- Positive conflict resolution strategies
WHO WE HELP:
The Adult Anger Management program serves court-ordered clients, Children’s Welfare Services referrals, and voluntary clients.
