Domestic Violence Intervention

According to the National Coalition against Domestic Violence, on average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States.
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Lifeline has been providing violence intervention programs since 1999. The goal is to provide a means of working towards eliminating violence through counseling, treatment, and education. Which is focused on the development of improved, violence-free behaviors.
PROGRAM SERVICES:
Lifeline’s Domestic Violence Intervention program serves domestic violence offenders through group treatment programs. Groups meet once a week in a safe, clinical, non-judgmental, and confidential environment. Curriculum is tailored to group member’s needs. Group leaders are Master level counselors, domestic violence certified, and experienced probation approved facilitators.
Domestic Violence Intervention Program for Male Offenders is a 52 week group program offered in English and Spanish. The program is designed to addresses violence in relationships. With the goal of eliminating violence while increasing victim safety, offender accountability, and positive responsible behaviors. Topics include:
- Anger control and management
- Identifying triggers and power and control tactics
- Stress management and time out techniques
- Respectful and effective communication
- Healthy relationships

OUR IMPACT:
Last year 78 participants were helped in the 52-Week Domestic Violence Intervention Groups. 90% of participants who were Domestic Violence batterers were free from further Domestic Violence arrests while in the program, as measured by: court documents, Automated Regional Justice Information System data, self-reports, probation, or Children’s Welfare Services.
