PROGRAM SERVICES:
The IMPACT program works with youth who have been in trouble, but are better served through therapeutic and family-focused intervention rather than facing criminal prosecution. IMPACT offers an intensive client-centered, trauma-informed treatment program that focuses on the community, youth, and family services while also addressing issues related to racial and ethnic disparity. IMPACT sets youth up for success by providing services that work to resolve the underlying causes of their misbehavior.

STORY:
We asked Ruben, a recent IMPACT client, how he feels about the services he received through the program. His short answer? Ruben did not want his time in the program to end. He shared that IMPACT has improved his capacity to make decisions, increased his self-esteem, and improved his attitude towards his parents’ separation. Ruben went on to say that being able to participate in all the interventions was “helpful and fun.” Ruben’s mother agrees. She reports that Ruben has had a positive change in his behavior, at home and at school, and has improved his communication with his family.
