Leadership Team

Alberta leads Lifeline's continuum of youth development services, from prevention to intervention, as well as family domestic violence intervention programs. Alberta holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and is licensed as a Certified Addiction Specialist. Alberta joined the Lifeline team in 1999 and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Alberta has led the expansion of Lifeline’s youth development programming, including juvenile delinquency and gang prevention strategies. She has designed programming that supports and educates the child’s family and is trained in numerous evidence-based practices including Positive Action, Seeking Safety, and Motivational Interviewing. Under her supervision, Lifeline Community Services implements proven domestic violence programming including intervention for both perpetrators and victims. Alberta is TERM approved to work with Child Welfare Services’ clients. She prioritizes relationships with local organizations and schools to offer support and counseling for youth in North County. Alberta is a strong believer in partnership, and provides leadership for several collaborative groups working to end domestic violence and prevent gang violence.

Alberta was selected as the “Impact in Advocacy”  honoree for the 2021 Woman of Impact for the 76th Assembly District. This award through the California State Assembly was created by Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath to recognize women in the 76th District who stand out in their communities as innovators, leaders, and advocates. Nominations came from across the district, with individual submissions of women who have made significant impact to their communities in the areas of business/entrepreneurship, military service, education, civic engagement, advocacy, activism, health and human services, community service, arts and culture, and young leadership.
