Bridgeways
1-760-509-3413THE NEED:
The Bridgeways program provides quality mental health services to eligible kids while decreasing additional law enforcement involvement and increasing knowledge around substance use. This program offers care, support, therapy, and guidance for children and youth up to 21 years old who are justice impacted or at-risk for justice involvement.
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Bridgeways is a certified, community-based program for young people up to age 21 that can help with behavioral health issues, like mental health and substance use. Our goal is to support young people who have been in trouble with the law or are at risk of getting into trouble. We offer various services to help you or someone you care about lead a healthier and happier life.
PROGRAM SERVICES:
Bridgeways offers two distinct services based on need and eligibility, both including supportive services such as risk screenings, relapse prevention, case management, skill building, and educational groups.
- Field Support Services (FSS): We have extra help for young people who are on probation and may have had issues with substances or are at risk. These services include case management, where we help you plan and get support in your local community. You will also learn about substance use and making good choices through substance use psychoeducation. We have Juvenile Recovery Specialists who are experts in helping with recovery and can support you in successfully graduating out of the court system.
- Outpatient Mental Health: We also offer Outpatient Mental Health services for youth who have Medi-Cal or are uninsured. You can talk to someone alone, with your family, or in a group to feel better through individual, family, or group therapy options. We have a team of professionals who can help with mental health challenges, including a Therapist, Psychiatrist, Nurse, and Peer Support Specialist. If you’re going through a challenging time, we will be here to support you with crisis intervention services. We can also involve your family or caregivers to help you even more through caregiver engagement, to either graduate out of the justice system and/or avoid becoming involved in the juvenile justice system at all.
WHO WE HELP:

Programs strengthen families by helping them partner with schools and community resources, and provide full wraparound services. HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Bridgeways aims to remove obstacles to improving mental health. Sometimes a small expense can be a significant barrier that prevents a youth client from attending school, keeping appointments, getting a job, or improving social skills. Breaking these barriers can be the key to a client’s success in the program. Common items that our clients need include bus passes, grocery store cards, hotel expenses for emergency housing, and school supplies. Click here to donate today!
